Working with teachers

Consultations were offered for teachers: “Quilling - nothing is impossible”, “Quilling or paper filigree”, “ Manual labor as a means of developing fine motor skills of hands in older preschoolers "

Working with parents

Children can also consolidate skills in quilling at home, for this you need to interest parents. For parents, you can organize a "creative workshop" and show the basics of quilling. And if a child has difficulties at home when completing quilling details, parents will be able to help him. They can also help with crafts for exhibitions in kindergarten.

Advice for parents

Quilling as a means of developing fine motor skills of the hand in children of older preschool age

The development of fine motor skills of the hand in preschool children is one of the important aspects of their general physical and mental development. It is impossible to achieve effective activity in training and master elementary practical skills without developing the small muscles of the hand. The level of formation of fine motor skills becomes an indicator of the child's success in various fields. Mastery of labor, visual, musical and graphic skills is carried out only if fine motor skills are developed. In addition, a child with a high level of its development is able to reason logically, he has sufficiently developed memory and attention, coherent speech, he has high intellectual and creative abilities.

Currently, many children also experience insufficient development of the small muscles of the hand. The coordination of the movement of the leading hand is especially poorly developed (i.e., the ability to hold a pen, pencil or scissors as a working tool), the ability of children to work in the “eye-hand” system (copy, copy, repeat graphic elements), there is no flexibility and accuracy in performing practical actions (clumsiness and slovenliness). This greatly complicates the work of teachers in primary school when teaching children to write and read and write, develop speech and manual labor. V.A. Sukhomlinsky wrote that “the origins of the abilities and talents of children are at their fingertips. The more confidence in the movements of a child's hand, the more subtle the interaction of the hand with the tool, the more complex the movements, the brighter the creative element of the child's mind. And the more skill in the child's hand, the smarter the child ... ". That is why the development of fine motor skills of the hand in senior preschool age is of paramount importance. Many scientists, teachers, doctors and other specialists paid attention to this problem. The study of fine motor skills as a kind of movements regulated by the psyche was carried out by such scientists as V.M. Bekhterev, L.S. Vygotsky, A.A. Leontiev, M. Montessori and others. They concluded that it is necessary to provide the child with maximum opportunities for the development of his fine motor skills and arm muscles during the period of greatest susceptibility to the development of movements, that is, from 0 to 6 years. They proved the need to create a subject-developing environment for children with the possibility of constant movement of the fingers. Scientists L.V. Zankov, A.R. Luria, M.S. Pevzner, G.E. Sukhareva and others believe that disturbances in the development of fine motor skills or its insufficient development is one of the characteristic symptoms of mental retardation and neuropsychiatric disorders. I.A. Groshenkov, T.N. Golovina, M.N. Nudelman, N.M. Pavlova, Zh.I. Shif and other experts came to the conclusion that properly organized work on the development of small muscles of the hand can become corrective for children with various speech therapy problems. According to research conducted by L.V. Antakova-Fomina and B.I. Pinsky, the connection between practical and intellectual activity was confirmed. Research of the innovative teacher M.M. Koltsova confirmed that systematic exercises for training finger movements are “a powerful tool for increasing the efficiency of the cerebral cortex” and contribute to the mental and speech development of a preschooler. Thus, we can state the unity of views of all scientists that fine motor skills are the basis of development, a kind of “locomotive” of all mental processes (attention, memory, perception, thinking, speech). It is fine motor skills that are an indicator of the development of the child.

WITH early years surrounds the child subject environment. Interaction with her is carried out from the first months of life. Unconscious observation is replaced by a purposeful process of learning individual items the surrounding world. Grasping actions, shifting from hand to hand, palpation and other manipulations allow you to develop the small muscles of the hand in a natural way. Over time, actions with objects become more difficult, and movements become more accurate. The child learns to hold a cup, a spoon, can work with a brush and plasticine. During preschool age, skills become more varied and complex. The proportion of actions that require coordinated actions of both hands is increasing. Children learn to work with a pencil, scissors, coordinate the eye with the accuracy of finger movements. Self-service skills are easily instilled in them (Eating, dressing, cleaning toys, helping around the house, etc. on their own). In addition, motor skills can be developed in a variety of ways. Ball games are traditional; small details (constructor, inserts, assembling natural material in the form of cones, shells, etc.); lacing, puzzles; work with paper, clay; finger exercises and gymnastics. Among the non-traditional ways of developing motor skills, one can single out applied art. Origami, testoplasty, quilling, embroidery, felting, force-ice, etc. not only perform the function creative development personality of the child, but also improve the work of the small muscles of the hand.

Recently, quilling paperwork has become very popular. Donatella Ciotti gave the following definition to the concept of quilling - this is the art of making various patterns from thin strips of paper twisted into spirals. Quilling is also called "paper rolling" or paper filigree. Twisted strips can be used to make planar or voluminous compositions resembling a thin lace cobweb. In a few minutes, you can get two- and three-dimensional shapes of a square, oval, star, cone, hemisphere. Then these volumetric forms, sometimes called modules, joining and flowing one into another, create a cascade of figures, leaves, flowers, obeying the endless imagination of the master artist. It is also noteworthy that both boys and girls are happy to do quilling. Quilling is not only the development of motor skills, imagination, attention, thinking, aesthetics, but also tremendous opportunities to realize your potential.

As a result of studying the literature, it was revealed that there are not enough programs to familiarize with the quilling technique in additional education, but there is a program by S.P. Plotnikova "The Art of Quilling" Svetlana Nikolaevna considers it possible "with some adjustment of the methods and content of the activity" to use this program as a fundamental one. On this basis, I was able to develop a modified program of additional education for children in the direction of "Quilling as a way to develop hand motor skills in children of senior preschool age." My course is designed for 36 hours. Classes are held 2 times a week for 20-25 minutes in groups of 5-7 people. The basic principle of learning from simple to complex. During the training, the theoretical issues of this type of art are revealed and practical features. By the end of the training, children should have certain knowledge and skills. During the entire period of study, collective and personal exhibitions of children's works are held. Quilling soothes, relieves tension and impulsiveness, develops taste. It is useful for the development of spatial imagination, fantasy and eye. Children enjoy quilling and get satisfaction from their work.

As a result of considering the issue of the significance and development of fine motor skills, we can say that work on the development of hand movement should be carried out regularly and systematically. She needs to pay attention both at home and during specially organized classes, only then the greatest effect from the exercises will be achieved. One of these is quilling. Tasks should bring joy to the child. The main thing is to teach him to combine business with pleasure!

SELF-EDUCATION
Topic: Engaging in paper-plasticity as a means of mental and aesthetic development preschool children".
IN last years increased attention to the problems of the theory and practice of aesthetic education as the most important means of shaping attitudes to reality, a means of moral and mental education, as a means of forming a comprehensively developed, spiritually rich personality.
The problem of aesthetic education is of interest to specialists in various fields: educators, teachers, psychologists. After all, deep aesthetic feelings, the ability to perceive beauty in the surrounding reality and in art - important condition spiritual life of man.
The productive activity of children reflects such specific features of their thinking as concreteness, figurativeness.
The productive activity of the child is closely connected not only with individual functions (perception, memory, thinking, imagination), but also with the personality as a whole.
It shows the interests of the child, temperament, some gender differences. In the process of productive activity, manual skill, visual-motor coordination, necessary to prepare the child for writing, develops.
A child successfully masters writing if he can make rhythmic, uniform, smooth movements with his hand. The formation of such movements is facilitated by drawing plants, decorative drawing based on embroideries, paintings, etc.
In the classroom for artistic creativity, the tasks of the comprehensive development of the child's personality are also carried out: mental development and aesthetic attitude to reality, moral education. This process evokes positive emotions in children, satisfaction from working with visual material, the result of which is an expressive image.
Based on the above, the goal of studying this problem is:
to determine the most effective methods of developing abilities in preschool children.
Tasks:
To study psychological and pedagogical sources on the peculiarities of introducing children to arts and crafts - quilling (paper plastic).
Contribute to the formation of ideas among teachers about the new arts and crafts - quilling. Familiarize yourself with the technique of performing quilling. Familiarize listeners with experience of preschool educational institution in this direction.
To develop a system (Program) of work on the formation of decorative and creative abilities in preschoolers.
Test the system in practice.
Determine the effectiveness of the developed training system.
Based on the tasks set, a plan was drawn up on the topic of self-education.

Analysis of work on the topic of self-education.
Since the developing functions of productive activity (and the “quilling” technique refers to the productive activity of children) is associated with a wide range of abilities, skills and abilities. It develops in children the ability for long-term volitional efforts aimed at achieving the goal; develops imagination, imaginative thinking, the ability to correlate the whole and parts.
In the second half of the year, age and individual characteristics of children were taken into account, so individual classes were held with children.
Preliminary conversations were held with the children with the whole group, and the main work was carried out by small subgroups of children.
Engaging in paper plastic continues to arouse the interest of children.
All children in the group mastered the quilling technique by the end of the year.
Children began to create these forms and small compositions on their own or with the help of a teacher.
We have identified some features of the assimilation of expressive means by children and the aesthetic development of children with the help of our series of classes:
in children who do not give preference to productive activities, there is an interest in the quilling technique.
children are attracted by the simplicity of creating pictures.
the variety of techniques and their novelty stimulates the imagination of children, develops their imagination and their creative abilities, contributes to the formation of expressive images.
The end result is very important for children, especially if the product of creativity can be taken home, in the manufacture of which they took part.
Diagnosis of the results for the year (table 2):

We plan to continue working on this issue.
Guidelines for educators working with children of middle preschool age on the organization of productive activities in the process of paper-plasticity (quilling).
According to the results of the study, which clearly demonstrated that paper plastic is one of the most attractive and affordable types of work in preschool age, we can draw the following conclusion:
Productive activity is a complex, multi-species, multi-operational artistic and labor activity, it contains the potential effect of influencing the artistic, labor education, development of cognitive and creative activity of children.
Therefore, we can recommend educators:
Usage unconventional technique quilling
(paper-plastic) which carry elements of artistic
originality, non-standard thinking and performance, have great potential for the formation of a positive attitude in children to visual activity, satisfaction of their need for self-expression, the development of their cognitive and creative abilities, the development of expressiveness in the works of children.
In the process of productive activity in the course of a specially
organized work with children of middle preschool age
the creation of expressive images will become available, the development of which is facilitated by the development of specific means of expression: the stylization of the image, the correct arrangement of compositions, the decorativeness of color, the technicality of gluing elements.
Increasing the level of mental and aesthetic development of children
preschool age is promoted by work in various techniques, including the paper-plastic technique, children learn new ways to create expressive images, learn to combine different techniques in one job.
It is necessary to form the aesthetic perception of children in a way
reflection of reality, due to the purpose of the products, the characteristics of the materials, the technique of execution and the characteristic means of expression.
Formation and improvement, aesthetic perception and
mental development in preschoolers should be carried out in stages in the process of specially organized training.

Quilling technique as a way to develop fine motor skills and speech of older preschoolers

TECHNIQUE« QUILLING» HOW METHOD OF DEVELOPING FINE MOTOR SKILLS AND SPEECH OF SENIOR PRESCHOOL CHILDREN

“Hands teach the head, then the wiser head teaches the hands, and skillful hands again promote brain development».

I. P. Pavlov.

Violation speeches is a fairly common occurrence among children. The causes of these disorders are very diverse. At present, according to foreign and domestic researchers, the number of children experiencing difficulties in mastering the social microenvironment has increased significantly. To a greater extent, these difficulties are manifested during admission to school: there are problems in development of intelligence and speech, in teaching writing, which in turn can lead not only to difficulties in mastering the program material, but also to an increased level of anxiety in the child.

The fact that finger movements are closely related to speech has long been known. Scientists have proven that about a third of the entire area of the cerebral cortex is occupied by the projection of the hand, located very close to the speech zone. At the tips of children's fingers are nerve endings that contribute transmission of a huge number of signals and impulses to the brain center, and this affects overall development of the child. Practice shows that in 80% of children with pathology speeches, there are low rates development of general motor skills and motor skills of hands. In the future, this affects the attitude to learning at school. How to make fingers dexterous and agile, and speech clear? Wonderful comes to the rescue technique called« quilling» .

I, like any teacher working with preschoolers, I want my pupils, having become students, not to experience serious difficulties in learning, to go to school with joy every day, write beautifully, speak clearly and competently, which is why I organized a circle "Magic Curl", the purpose of which was development of fine motor skills and speech of children of senior preschool age through technology« quilling» .

Based on the goal, I have set the following tasks:

To introduce children to a new type of paper design - « quilling» , teach how to make basic forms, make various compositions from them.

Through classes quilling to increase the level of development of fine motor skills, speeches, thinking, attention, memory, creativity.

To cultivate accuracy, perseverance in the performance of work, aesthetic taste.

« quilling» paper rolling, paper filigree technique twisting strips of paper into various shapes and compiling holistic works from them. With the help of this technology you can create both simple patterns and complex multidimensional paintings. In any case, the feature quilling is that no matter how complex the picture made in this technique, it will still look extremely light, airy and weightless.

Class quilling how creativity came to us from Europe. Due to its simplicity and sophistication, quilling noble ladies were engaged, who could afford to while away their leisure hours for this fashionable, but very expensive pastime. Today quilling is available to everyone, is a kind of self-made constructor. In skillful hands, thin paper strips turn into paintings, postcards, gift wrapping, interior details. Technique« quilling» not as complicated as it might seem at first glance, and children really like it. What's interesting is that quilling both boys and girls enjoy it.

To work, you need double-sided colored paper strips with a width of 3 to 7 mm, a stick with a crevice at the end for twisting them, glue, a napkin, oilcloth, scissors, a ruler, a pencil and a base for the composition. Education is more effective under the condition of systematic and consistent work with children, the gradual complication of the level of work performance and the involvement of parents.

Working with children in education I started quilling with senior group dividing the activity into several stages. First, she introduced the children to tools and paper for quilling. We took toothpicks as a tool for twisting paper (later, seeing the interest of parents, we used them to purchase a special tool for quilling, for gluing small details used tweezers. The paper was purchased ready-made, but sometimes they were cut themselves. In the subsequent stages, acquaintance with ways fulfillment of the main forms in technique« quilling» . The final stage was the manufacture of volumetric compositions.

Working with children in technique In paper rolling, we started with a sketch of the composition, then we made rolls using a toothpick or a thin stick with a cleft. There are three main forms quilling: "tight circle", "free circle", "a drop", a strip of paper is twisted into a spiral, then basic elements are made from it. There are 15 basic elements in total, but the principle remains the same. same: twist, pinch, using your imagination. It is gratifying that you can always come up with new elements yourself, restrictions on the use of this no technology.

At the beginning of acquaintance with the execution of forms, it is enough to teach how to perform "tight circle" And "free circle", and so that such monotonous actions do not get bored preschoolers, we combined ready-made forms into collective compositions, for example, « ladybugs on a flower", « christmas tree in garlands" and so on, and only having mastered this form, proceeded to the next. Having mastered several forms, the children began to make crafts according to the model.

Works performed in technique« quilling» , are later used by children as decorations for the interior of the group, in role-playing games (for example, as treat: cakes, sweets, etc. didactic material for math games.

V. A. Sukhomlinsky said: "Origins abilities and gifts of children - at your fingertips. From the fingers, figuratively speaking, there are streams that feed the source of creative thought. With the development of this technology the hands of my pupils have gained confidence, flexibility, accuracy, the fingers have become dexterous and agile, lexicon significantly replenished, including, and due to the inclusion in the speech of lexical units in this direction.

The type of activity organized by me within the framework of the circle had a significant impact on personal child development: they have developed such qualities as perseverance, the ability to bring the work started to the end, perseverance and accuracy, mutual assistance. Besides, quilling opened the way to creativity for my pupils, awakened their imagination and artistic capabilities, provided an opportunity to realize their creative ideas.

Self-education for the 2014-2015 academic year

On this topic:

“The hands teach the head, then the wiser head
teaches hands, and skillful hands again contribute
brain development"
I.P. Pavlov

The development of fine motor skills of preschool children is one of the urgent problems, because the weakness of the movement of the fingers and hands, awkwardness is one of the reasons that make it difficult to master the simplest skills and self-service skills necessary for life. In addition, the mechanical development of the hand is closely related to the development of speech and thinking of the child, as proven by scientists. The level of development of fine motor skills is one of the indicators of intellectual readiness for schooling. Usually a child with a high level of development of fine motor skills is able to reason logically: he has sufficiently developed memory and attention, coherent speech.

Given the importance of this problem, it is advisable to work in this direction. For this I use - finger games, games with a small constructor, stencil drawing, shading of varying complexity, modeling, various types of appliqué, graphic dictations, origami.

One of the non-traditional ways to develop fine finger movements is quilling. Quilling (paper twisting, paper filigree) is a technique of twisting strips of paper into various shapes and composing holistic works from them. In my opinion, this technique is amazing, it captivates and fascinates, it resembles a “thin lace cobweb”. Within minutes of normal paper strips OK, you can create a real masterpiece.

Quillingis not only the development of motor skills, imagination, attention, thinking, aesthetics, etc., but also tremendous opportunities to realize their creative potential.

aim I put my work: to study the influence of quilling technique on the development of fine motor skills of hands.

Based on the goal, I set the following tasks:
- trace the positive impact of using the quilling technique on the development of fine motor skills, coordination of hand movements;
- to introduce children to a new type of work with paper - quilling, to teach how to make basic forms, to make various compositions from them;
- to cultivate accuracy, perseverance in the performance of work, aesthetic taste.

In order for children to learn effectively, it is necessary to observe conditions:

  • Gradual and systematic;
  • Involving Parents

It is better to start working with children on teaching quilling from the older group.

Stage 1 . Introduction to quilling tools and paper.

A tool for twisting paper is a toothpick. In the future, subject to the interest of parents, you can purchase a special tool for quilling. The tool is also: tweezers (for gluing small parts), glue, scissors.

Quilling paper is paper tapes with a width of 3 to 7 mm. It can be purchased ready-made, or you can cut it yourself. Cutting paper can also be a preparatory task for quilling. For example, in the second half the children cut paper, and the next day in the first half of the day, it happens directly Team work- quilling.

Stage 2 . Acquaintance and implementation of the basic forms in the technique of quilling.

The basis for the implementation of almost all forms is a sparse circle. To perform it, you need to: insert the tip of the paper tape into a special slot on a wooden toothpick or tool, holding it with your thumb and forefinger, wind the paper, carefully remove it from the tool and put it on a flat surface, the resulting circle will unwind a little, glue the tip of this circle.

Having received a sparse circle, we give it desired shape- triangle, "leaf", oval, square, "drop" and others.

At the beginning of acquaintance with the execution of forms, it is not necessary to show children the technique of performing several forms at once. First, teach how to perform a sparse circle and a tight circle, and the result of such an activity will be a collective work, for example, on the topic "Bunch of grapes", "Snowman", "Ice hill" or any other object that can be made up of circles.

Having mastered the basic form, you can teach to perform another form, for example, a “droplet” - pinch a sparse circle on one side with your thumb and forefinger. Having made several “droplets”, children can make a flower by gluing it to a collective clearing or their own individual postcard.

Having learned how to perform several forms, children can already make crafts according to the model. There should be several samples so that the child can choose which composition he will make. For example, when making a card for Mother's Day, the child himself will choose what flowers he will make on this card, he will calculate how many strips of paper and what color are needed.

Work on teaching the quilling technique can take place as independent activity, and then you can introduce quilling elements into different types activities. For example, in math games: let's make so many circles, add so many squares to them, and make the answer in triangles. Parents are very satisfied with such activities, because. children learn to make puzzles, develop motor skills. Or, for example, we invite the guys to play tomorrow role-playing game“Birthday”, and make a treat today: decorate cakes, juices and buns made of cardboard with flowers and leaves made using the quilling technique.

Material: for classes with children, strips of colored double-sided tinted paper, strips of corrugated cardboard, white and colored cardboard, PVA glue, scissors, simple pencils, a ruler, glue brushes, napkins, oilcloth, thin plastic stick with a split at the end.

Expected results:

- learn different ways of working with paper;

– will know the basic geometric concepts and basic forms of quilling;

- learn to follow oral instructions, read and draw product diagrams; create quilling products using instruction cards and diagrams;

– will create compositions with products made using the quilling technique;

- develop attention, memory, thinking, spatial imagination; fine motor skills of hands and eye; artistic taste, creativity and imagination;

- learn the art of paper rolling;

- master the skills of work culture;

improve their communication skills.

Working with teachers

Consultations were offered for teachers: “Quilling - nothing is impossible”, “Quilling or paper filigree”, “Manual labor as a means of developing fine motor skills of hands in older preschoolers”

"The development of fine motor skills in preschool children through the Quilling technique"

Quilling is an opportunity to see the unusual possibilities of plain paper. The choice of paper rolling technique is not accidental. In my opinion, it is precisely working with thin strips, twisting them onto tools, or without using a tool with your own hands, that the fine motor skills of the child's hands are actively developing. And the consequence of the development of fine motor skills is its general development, starting from the development of speech and ending with creative abilities.

The paper-rolling technique initially caused difficulty in children, as it required concentration on work and subtle movements of the fingers. But in the process of mastering actions and operations, these problems began to be solved. During the paper rolling class, I carried out finger gymnastics for emotional and physical relaxation.

At the beginning of the year, classes were held to familiarize children with the technique of manufacturing simple parts. I introduced children to the types of twisting paper strips, creating various forms of parts needed for crafts, showed how to connect parts using glue, applying or laying one on top of the other, taught me how to perform actions carefully and carefully.

In subsequent classes, she gave the children more complex material, developing the following technical skills in them:

cut the fringe;

Twist and unroll rolls to a certain size;

Glue parts;

To give a given shape to the details;

Glue on the background and create a composition.

At the beginning of the year, when working with paper strips, in the course of creating work using the quilling technique for children, details of a given shape were not always obtained correctly, which was a consequence of insufficient coordination of finger movements;

The elements of the composition were obtained different size, which was determined by the insufficient development of the eye;

The work did not keep a certain shape or lost it, due to the wrong dosage of glue.

Already in the middle school year, the children mastered all the basic skills, which allowed them to focus on creativity, which consists in independent thinking and implementation of the idea of an artistic composition by the children themselves.

As a result of mastering this technique, the hand of my pupils gained confidence, flexibility, accuracy, developed an eye, a sense of proportionality (in correlating composition elements) and design vision: the ability to see and distribute the elements of a pattern or plot, choose colors and come up with a compositional image solution. Pupils develop basic skills search activity as well as the ability to work consciously and purposefully.

Thus, the quilling technique - effective remedy for the development of fine motor skills of the hands of older preschoolers, indirectly affecting the overall development of the child's personality, as well as preventing learning difficulties at school.
