It's already May, and snow has fallen in Siberia the other day! It lies on the grass and does not melt. I thought I was in a hurry to put away my Columbia winter boots.

And since I am very pleased with them, I decided to dedicate a review to them, all the more so in the off season you can buy them at a decent discount.

I always thought that natural materials are warmer than artificial ones. But last winter, in natural suede or leather boots, while walking with a child, the legs often froze. On the recommendation of a friend, I decided to try dutik. If you evaluate, then, of course, branded, and not just Chinese no-name. The choice fell on the products of the Neil and Gertrude Boyle concern, which has been operating for over 50 years.

Dutiks are thought out in everything:

*warm, thanks to the insulation 200gr/sq.m (this is the same Omni heat technology). Worn with semi-synthetic tights and a thick woolen sock. The rule of synthetic materials and layering in cold weather applies here in the same way as when wearing tops. membrane clothing;

*practically weightless, walking in them is easy and comfortable even during long walks;

* do not get wet in slush, thanks to the membrane (Omni-tech technology), and this technology also allows you to remove evaporation from the inside;

* not slippery, thanks to the Omni-grip sole. Although on flat ice they certainly slip a little;

* easy and quick to lace up, which is very important for young mothers;

* inside protection against snow, you can climb into a small snowdrift, which is often required when playing with a child;

* easy to care for: I wipe them with a damp cloth and they are like new again. By the way, all photos of the boots were taken after active wear during 5 cold months.

Of the nuances, I can highlight the fact that if during the walk I had to go to the store, then there was a feeling of moisture in the boots, and as the walk continued, the legs began to freeze. Although when I got home my feet were dry. I concluded for myself: if a regular walk without visiting warm rooms, then these boots have proven themselves perfectly. But if you need to go somewhere, then either you need to do it at the end of the walk, or put on other boots.

By size: I usually wear shoes in size 36, but I buy winter boots in size 37 with a margin for warm socks. In my opinion, the size matches.

In general, I am very satisfied with them. For winter walks in the fresh air, Columbia boots are a great option.
