You can make a lot of interesting and original souvenirs with your own hands from satin ribbons. Today we will consider with you a master class on making handmade boxes, the author of this master class is Elena Wiert.
Elena makes very interesting and beautiful jewelry and souvenirs with her own hands. Let's find out how to make such a beautiful box.

For work we need:
* Reel from photographic paper.
* Thick cardboard 1.55 cm thick.
* Foam rubber 2 cm thick.
* Piece from plastic bottle.
* Wire 0.4 mm.
* Satin ribbon 2.5 cm.
* Satin ribbon 5 cm.
* File.
* Hacksaw for metal.
* Glue.
* Scissors.
* Shilo.
* Pencil.

How to make a box:
When all the tools are ready, we start manufacturing. We take bobbins from photo paper and measure the required size for making the box. Next, cut with a hacksaw to the size we need. We take a 2.5 cm satin ribbon and fix it on the outside with glue and start wrapping it around. We stretch the tape slightly and wrap the base so that on the inside the tape lies perpendicular to the edge. Outside, fix with glue as shown in the photo.

Now we put the finished blank on cardboard and outline the contour of the blank from the outside and from the inside. We will need four outer and four inner circles. We cut them out. We glue the circles in pairs, we get two large and two small blanks. We process the edges of the circles with a file. We process one of the small circles a little more, this will be the lid, we mark it.

We take a 5 cm satin ribbon and glue our blanks with it. Glue is applied only along the very edge. We make two segments for small circles, and three for large circles. The segments should be larger than the circle itself, for bending allowances. Gently tighten the blanks with glue, trying to smooth out the wrinkles. We cut off everything superfluous and unnecessary.

We take a plastic bottle and cut out a strip of 2 * 6 cm from it and glue it with a satin ribbon. We take the wire and twist five loops out of it. In the workpiece we make notes and with the help of a heated awl we make holes for the loops. We insert the loops into the holes and twist from the back. We should get as in the photo.

We glue a strip from a plastic bottle onto the workpiece, this will be our loop. We also glue a loop for the convenience of opening the box. We generously lubricate the blanks with glue and connect them. We press them tightly, you can use clothespins. We coat the bottom of the box with glue along the edge and connect it to the body, while pressing it tightly against each other. The bottom of the box is ready.

We cut out 5 segments from foam rubber, 3 pieces - 4.5 * 7.5 cm and 2 pieces - 3 * 7.5 cm. Two large and two small segments are cut a little along the oblique. Sew the pieces together. We wrap the foam rubber with a satin ribbon, apply glue only along the edge. Next, glue the blanks together, apply glue only to the middle. This is how it should turn out in the end.

Glue the ring holder into the box. We cut out a 4 * 8.5 cm partition from cardboard and glue it with a satin ribbon. We glue the partition into the box. We glue the hinge of the lid to the box, additionally strengthening it with a piece of tape.

Today it is difficult to surprise anyone with the beauty that is located in simple everyday things, since our eyes are quite tempted by a variety of design ideas and incarnations, which, it would seem, are impossible. But there is something that you can always create yourself. Invest your soul, some free time and your creativity to get an absolutely unique and unlike thing. The kanzashi box will reveal in you that creator who everyone around will certainly admire. This will radically change your outlook on everyday things, as well as your approach to leisure.

Consider with you a master class on making a kanzashi jewelry box.

What we need:

  • Scotch tape spool
  • 3 circles cut out of cardboard that are identical to the diameter of the reel
  • Fabric for sheathing the workpiece
  • piece of felt
  • Ribbon (4 colors)
  • silicone adhesive
  • Scissors
  • Beads (optional for decoration)
  • sequin thread
  • Candle or lighter

1. Circles of cardboard are sheathed with a cloth and 2 of them are glued together (circle diameter = bobbin diameter).

2. We sheathe the bobbin from the outside and inside.

3. Folding blanks 1 and 2 form the base for the box. We glue the bottom with felt, and for the lid, so that it is convenient to open it, you can make a loop from the tape from the edge, which will also be a nice detail.

4. Let's start decorating. For the unity of the composition on the sides of the box, we make only 1 type of petals. So, for the petal, we take 2 squares of 5 cm tape. We fold one square into a double triangle, align and bend around the petal with the tips. Cut off the excess and burn it. From the second segment of the tape we form a triangle in the middle of which we lay the previous blank, cut the end of the second triangle and solder it. Next, we evenly cut the 2 resulting triangles and also glue them. We make about 50 of them.

5. We begin to glue the blanks of the petals to the base of the box in 2 rows. We take a tape 1 cm wide and glue it at the joints in the middle. In the middle of the ribbon, you can place a decorative braid of sequins.

6. To decorate the lid, we make 2 types: double petals and fan petals.

double petals: take 2 squares, make 2 single-layer triangles from each of them. We fold them one across the other and lay the ends in a circle. Trim the edge and burn it.

fan petals: we fold the square from the tape into a triangle, then we form an additional triangle from the resulting one and make 5 mm creases with tweezers like an accordion. Hold the edge with your fingers and align the fan. Cut off some excess and glue. This forms our fan petal.

Each type should be 12 pieces.

We lay the blanks on the lid in two rows.

7. The next step is to continue decorating the lid. Again, you will need 2 types of petals: double (using the same technology as in the previous step, but from 2 colors) and subtle (you can choose ribbons of a different texture to make the composition even more interesting).

Refined Petal: we form a triangular one from the square, and transform the next folded triangle behind it into another one, cut off the excess and glue it together.

Put the resulting balls on the lid. For the last layer, we make fan, placing them inside.

8. The final stage of compiling our craft consists of decorating the box with beads. It all depends on your flight of fancy and creativity.

Develop, delight your eyes with such unique things, because they warm and change even the worst mood for happiness, for which so little is sometimes needed.

Master class “Kanzashi box for jewelry with your own hands”

Hello dear friends! Today I went to work and the birds sang in such a spring way that it seemed that it was already spring in the yard, well, or March at least. The fact that there are only two weeks left until spring, albeit calendar weeks, but it already cheers me up, because spring is my favorite season. And the holiday beloved by all women on March 8 begins spring. Therefore, today I have another master class on a kanzashi box, which you can easily do with your own hands, even if you have never worked with tape, after my MK and video lessons you will succeed.

Kanzashi box master class

Last time we did it with you, judging by your kind reviews, she liked it, I'm very pleased. I hope this master class will not leave you indifferent).

The cardboard box that I found at work came in handy for me in this MK, just in case, I don’t throw away the rest of the cardboard from the box, all of a sudden I want to create something else. In this article, we will learn not only to decorate the box using the kanzashi technique, but also to actually make it ourselves from scratch, one might say from improvised materials.

To create a box, we need:

  • Thick cardboard
  • Empty sleeve from under a large wide adhesive tape
  • Pink satin ribbon 5 cm wide
  • Pink satin ribbon with 1.2 cm border
  • White grosgrain ribbon 4 cm wide
  • Openwork silver braid
  • Ribbon Green colour 2.5 cm wide
  • Pink felt
  • Hot glue
  • Glue moment crystal
  • Candle
  • Tweezers
  • Scissors
  • plastic flower centers
  • A piece of brocade ribbon 5 by 5 cm wide.
  • Pink stamens for flowers
  • Two hours of free time and your good mood)

This is such a long list, although the last item is written at the end, but believe me, it is the most important, without it everything will remain untouched in its place). I have a good job, supplying me with materials for my products) again I found here an almost empty sleeve from wide adhesive tape, I need it for the base of the box. You can, of course, buy a ready-made cardboard box in a needlework store, they sell such ones and immediately start decorating it with satin ribbons, but why, if we can make it ourselves easily and quickly.

How to make a box with your own hands from adhesive tape

There are no tricks in making the base for the box, now you will see for yourself. To do this, we first need thick cardboard and a sleeve from a wide adhesive tape.

We apply the sleeve to the cardboard ones and draw a circle, cut it out and adjust the size of the cardboard base so that it covers the “ribs” of the sleeve, but does not go beyond them. We need two such cardboard circles, exactly the same. One will serve as the base, the other - the lid of the future box. Now we need to circle one resulting circle on the felt and cut out the same circle, only from felt.

We heat up the glue gun, apply glue to the cardboard circle and apply a felt circle to it, gently press it with your fingers, leveling it so that the felt base sticks well to the cardboard one. Now this base of the box must be glued to the sleeve in such a way that the felt side is inside the box and would be its bottom. To do this, lubricate the ribs of the sleeve with hot glue and quickly apply the cardboard-felt base.

It turned out to me like a cookie, with a pink filling. If you are using hot glue, then everything must be done very quickly, because it hardens instantly and sometimes this makes it very difficult to work. This time I wanted to use, in addition to hot glue, a crystal glue, but it disappeared somewhere, then it turned out that it was just my husband who tidied it up in a safe place). So I had to do everything with hot glue. If you have the opportunity to use glue moment crystal, feel free to take it, when gluing the box, it is much more convenient to use it.

The second step is to cut a strip of felt from the felt, which in width will correspond to the height of your sleeve from the adhesive tape, and in length will be equal to the circumference of the sleeve. We need this strip to finish the inner side of the box. When this part is cut out, also with the help of hot glue or glue of the moment we glue it to inside bushings, the bushing itself must be lubricated gradually and also gradually pasted over with a felt strip.

At the third stage of creating the box, we will deal with its exterior decoration. To do this, cut off a strip from a pink ribbon 5 cm wide, which is equal to the circumference of the sleeve plus add a couple of centimeters, let it be better that the ribbon overlaps each other than it is not enough.

The tape must be glued to the sleeve in such a way that a strip of about 1 cm wide is left at the bottom, not glued. We do this in order to accurately upper part caskets and close the visible cardboard with tape.

I used hot glue again, but it is better to take the moment of the crystal when gluing the satin ribbon, it is not visible on the fabric after drying. When we glued the tapes, we need to hide the visible cardboard, so we press the protruding tape on top inward and glue it with glue.

Now you need to close the bottom of the box with a 1.2 cm wide satin ribbon with a golden edging around the edges. We also cut off the strip along the circumference of the sleeve and glue it to the bottom with glue. I decided to stick an openwork braid on the lower part, I don’t know if I’m calling it correctly, but you will understand from the photo what I’m talking about. I also used hot glue when sticking. With such a border, it turned out elegant, in my opinion.

Now it's time to tackle the lid of the box. I will glue it with a 1.2 cm wide satin ribbon with a shiny border around the edges. Since the diameter of the lid of the box is 8 cm, I cut the strips 8 cm long, their edges must be singeed on a candle so that the ribbon does not crumble.

Now in a circle, clasping the lid on both sides, so that a piece of tape reaches the middle of the circle on one side and glue the strips on the other side. Our task is to stick the strips more or less evenly, so at first you can stick a kind of cross from the strips, then glue the lid on it further.

Now we determine which side of the lid we will have inside, and which outside. On the inside of the lid, where there were tape knocks, I cut out a heart from the brocade ribbon and glued it in the middle, so the issue with the joints was resolved for me, and then the top of the lid will then be closed with kanzashi flowers.

In order to attach the lid to the box, I cut off two strips with a pink satin ribbon 1.2 cm wide, the one that I pasted over the lid, glued them first to the lid, and then trying them on so that the lid easily opened and closed, pasted inside the box itself.

In general, in a good way, this part should have been hidden at the stage when we glued the felt to the inside of the box, but this was the first experience in creating such a craft, so I'm learning on the go). Honeycomb and our do-it-yourself box made of adhesive tape is ready, it remains to beautifully decorate it with kanzashi flowers.

How to decorate a box

You can decorate the box different ways, someone does it with rhinestones, someone with beads, and I will decorate with flowers using the kanzashi technique. Since my box is small in size, accordingly, the flowers need to be made small and neat. Last year I had a master class where I did it, but they were for hair, although those flowers would also be suitable for decorating a box.

Kanzashi from rep tape

But I decided to make other small kanzashi flowers. The flowers will be double because they consist of two small flowers. The petals are made in the same way as I did them in, only there was a satin ribbon and a larger width. In total, we need three flowers. The base of the flower will be white from a rep ribbon, and the second part of the flower will be pink from a satin ribbon. For one flower, we need to make 6 petals from white rep ribbon and 6 from pink satin.

We cut the 4 cm wide rep ribbon into 4 by 4 cm squares. And we begin to fold the classic round kanzashi petal, which I already showed when I made kanzashi daisies, only there was a 5 cm wide satin ribbon. Here the rep ribbon is 4 cm wide, but the folding principle is the same and the same.

We bend the square into a triangle, then we bend the corners to the top of the triangle and fold the resulting rhombus figure in half, straighten the petal with our fingers, cut off the tip, grab it with tweezers and solder it on the candle, cut the bottom of the petal and the resulting "ribs" are also soldered on the candle. Our classic round grosgrain ribbon petal is ready, we will make 6 of these for one flower. Then we glue the finished petals with hot glue, applying it to the side of each petal and applying the next one.

In exactly the same way, we make pink petals from a 2.5 cm ribbon, folding it is a little more difficult, because the petal turns out to be tiny, and accuracy and patience are needed with small details. The only difference is that we then turn the round kanzashi petal into a heart petal. To do this, simply apply a small drop of hot glue to the middle of the rounded part and press this place inward with tweezers. It turns out small hearts from the ribbon. Of these, we also glue the flower, connecting the petals with hot glue.

When we have three white rep flowers and three pink satin ribbon flowers ready, glue the pink flowers on top of the white ones. In the middle of each flower we glue more white plastic centers, I have them very small in diameter of about 5 cm, for such small flowers that's it.

It remains to make green kanzashi leaves, in the last article, where I made the figure eight, I showed two types of green leaves from ribbons, now I will show two more types, but in fact there are a lot of different and beautiful ones.

Green kanzashi petals from a ribbon 2.5 cm 2 types

This time, you don't need a soldering iron to create green kanzashi petals that will serve as leaves for our flowers. We take a green satin ribbon 2.5 cm wide, by the way, a ribbon of this width can be made for children's rubber bands. cut into squares 2.5 by 2.5 cm.

Video tutorial on how to make green kanzashi leaves

We turn the square into a triangle, then again into a triangle, connect the edges, cut off the tip a little and, grabbing it with tweezers, connect it on the candle. You can see this process in detail in the video, I didn’t take a photo of these petals, but you can look here, there is a photo of the process of folding this petal.

We will make the second petal from the same tape 2.5 cm wide, just cut it into strips 6.5 cm long. How many strips you cut, there will be so many petals, I made 6 pieces to decorate the box.

I also taught you how to fold such a petal when we made a rose from a ribbon. But I'll show you one more time. We fold the piece of tape into two parts, see the photo, below we get an isosceles triangle. Now you need to fold it in half again and wrap the edges inward to solder the petal over the candle.

The process of creating this leaf is also on the video, see it above. I have simplified the task for everyone, if it is not clear from the photo, there is a video in which everything will be clear for sure. For beauty, I pasted two more pink stamens into these green leaves, after folding them in half. You can do without them, it's up to you.

Now the most pleasant part remains, we will decorate our box with flowers and kanzashi leaves. First, I glued two sharp petals together and they turned out like bushes, I decided to walk them in a circle at the bottom of the box, as if these bushes grow behind a patterned silver border.

First, I glued three flowers on the lid of the box using hot glue. Then between the flowers I glued two green leaves, in one of the two pink stamens were glued.

I got such a kanzashi box, I hope that you will also like this master class and share it with your friends. You can give a homemade box to your mother, grandmother, aunt or girlfriend on March 8, Birthday, Mother's Day or just because you have them! I wish you all inspiration and new creative achievements.

With respect and love, Elena Kurbatova.

Thanks to the kanzashi tape technique, you can create truly incredible things with your own hands, which are then used in Everyday life. For example, this also applies to the box, which is used not only for storing jewelry, but also for storing various small gizmos. Therefore, in this article it was decided to demonstrate the original and interesting photo master class on making a casket using the kanzashi technique. Such a product can even become an unforgettable gift for mom or sister.

To make such a craft with your own hands, you need to prepare the following materials for work:

  • a sheet of cardboard;
  • tuba;
  • piece of felt and satin ribbons any shades you like, and organza;
  • glue gun with scissors.

So, let's start needlework by preparing a piece of tuba. Since its walls are very thick, it is best to remove the excess layer of paper from it. Then circle the tube on a piece of felt fabric, which you will then wrap around the inside of this blank. For the bottom and lid, transfer the outline of the base onto thick cardboard. As a result, you should get six circles, four of which will be the same size as the tuba, and two will be equal in the inside and its diameter.

Connect all the blanks in pairs, and you will get two large circles, and one of them is slightly smaller in diameter. Try on the lid, paying attention to the fact that it can easily enter inside. After that, you can glue the bottom to the box.

Elements should be cut out of the main matter, which are then attached to the main craft with glue. The adhesive must be applied in a thin layer so that it is not visible on the surface.

Start working from the bottom of the box, and then gradually move on to tightening the side surfaces. Bend inward the part that will protrude, and also glue it with hot glue, as shown in the photo.

The next stage of the master class will show you how you can design a cover for this product. take again satin fabric and bend its protruding sides into the inside of the workpiece. Glue a loop with a wide ribbon to the inside of the lid, as shown in the photo.

Apply glue to the smaller circle and attach it to the inside of our lid. Decorate the inside of the craft itself with felt cloth, and decorate the top with petals using the kanzashi technique, which must be folded from satin squares measuring 54 by 54 mm. Decorate the lower part of the product with a braid with lurex thread.

Next, you should decorate the bottom of the side surface with petals, while paying attention to the fact that the tips of the petals should not protrude beyond the edge of the craft. After that, you need to glue the cover. If you want the elements in the kanzashi technique to be evenly spaced on the surface, then start attaching them with four pieces in a cross shape, since all other elements will be attached between them in turn.

The kanzashi technique is so diverse and multifaceted that it can be used to make not only figurines of animals and birds, but even decorations. But in this article we will talk about a product in which you can store these very jewelry and pleasant memorabilia. We will talk about how to make a box using kanzashi technique from satin ribbons with your own hands. You can be sure that only you will have such a product. cook everything necessary materials and you can start.

It will take you a lot of time to create such a box. Therefore, you will need the following materials, which are described below in the text:

We have decided on the materials, and now we can begin our master class. Take the pre-prepared blank and glue it with a satin ribbon. It is not necessary to do such manipulations perfectly, anyway, this part of the work will not be visible under the petals. The main thing is that you seal the surface without gaps:

Keep in mind that it is necessary to seal not only the outer surface, but also the inside. For the inside, you can use not satin, but let's say felt. Felt will definitely look much more interesting than a simple satin:

Look at the photo, how the kanzashi box is framed on it. Now let's move on to creating the petals. They are made according to the standard formula using tweezers for greater convenience. Tweezers will help to cope better, since you will need to hold and singe with fire workpieces on a scale of 2.5 by 2.5 centimeters.

In the next picture, you will be presented with a diagram according to which kanzashi petals will be made. This is one of the simplest ways. Fold the resulting square in half, and then do it again diagonally:

Connect the edges and singe them with the fire of a match. Make sure that the workpiece does not have time to melt, but rather tightly connected. Now cut off the back corner and burn this element again with fire. Each new petal must be made with a double tab, but only on one side. Otherwise, all errors will be immediately visible.

After all the elements are ready, you can start decorating the box in the kanzashi style. Gently glue the petals, but only so that the glue is as invisible as possible. When you're done with this time-consuming process, take some ribbon or pretty beads and cover up the top pieces:

The cover for crafts also needs to be decorated. In this work, you can show all your accumulated imagination and not hold it back. The photo shows only an example of how to make a kanzashi lid design. You can do it the way you like by adding beads, sequins or even beads to the surroundings:

It remains to make a few touches and a chic jewelry box is completely ready. All decorative elements that adorn the craft must be attached with hot glue.

The video tutorials that will be shown to you below will clearly show the options for kanzashi boxes made by experienced needlewomen.
