Palmistry

Holidays are an integral part of our social life, many of which concern us personally, our relatives and friends.

Almost every day a holiday is celebrated in Russia.

Every Russian must clearly know from memory the telephone numbers of social services capable of providing immediate assistance to the population in various situations. And first of all, we are talking about a simple and easy to remember number "103". It belongs to the ambulance service. Employees of this service, upon receiving a call from a needy person, are obliged to rush to the citizen’s house and solve the health problem that has arisen, if necessary, then hospitalize him. The country honors its rescuers on April 28, the Day of Ambulance Workers.

From the history of the world social service

The sounded specific sphere of medical activity has its roots in the Middle Ages. In the 4th century, on the roads leading to Jerusalem, premises were equipped that played the role of a temporary shelter for travelers. They also provided medical assistance there. Later, the Order of St. John appeared on British lands, taking on the responsibility of supervising and directly organizing the activities of hospitable homes, as well as serving hospital patients.

Other European states did not lag behind England. Thus, at the beginning of the 15th century, the Dutch created a rescue and medical assistance service for drowning people. The specificity of the institution was associated with a huge number of reservoirs in the country. The Austrians, on the other hand, became pioneers in this matter: it was in Vienna that the first ambulance station arose at one time. It happened at the end of the century before last, in 1881.

The cause of this event was a fire in the capital's theater, which caused harm to the health of people who were in the building during the emergency. They needed the help of doctors, which at that time no one could provide to the unfortunate. History calls Dr. Yaroslav Mundi the initiator of the organization of the station. He developed a project for an institution that provided not only for the provision of medical assistance to the unfortunate, but also for their transportation home or to the hospital, depending on the condition. There were no permanent employees at the station - it functioned at the expense of volunteers, who were students studying in medical schools and already practicing doctors.

History of ambulance in Russia

On April 28, let's celebrate the Day of Ambulance Workers, let's remember the history of domestic ambulance.

Attempts to organize an ambulance service for the population, our compatriots began to carry out even earlier than it happened in Europe. For the first time, such an idea was born in the head of a Petersburger G.L. Attenhofer, who had the status of a doctor of medicine. In 1818, this man personally developed a project for the corresponding institution and went with a document to the city authorities with a request for help in implementing this idea. However, the doctor's plans remained on paper.

People who got into trouble or suddenly felt unwell continued, as before, to be delivered to hospitals and clinics by police and firefighters. Only in 1844, an institution finally appeared in Russia to provide emergency medical care to those in need through the efforts of the Russian doctor F.P. Haas. It was called the police hospital for the homeless. As early as 1826, Haas made an attempt to include in the list of medical posts such a doctor, whose duties would include monitoring and controlling the organization of services for victims of circumstances and accidents, but was refused.

In a medical institution, which our famous compatriot managed to open, first aid to those who fell into its walls was provided free of charge. True, this institution was not yet equipped with the vehicles necessary to bring the victims. The location of the medical institution was Moscow.

By 1898, as many as three ambulance stations appeared in the capital. Each of them had medical staff, a horse-drawn carriage (hence the name of the cars with "flashing lights" and the image of a red cross on the white side, still sometimes used in modern speech - "ambulance"), the most necessary medical instruments, material for bandaging and stretcher. In St. Petersburg, similar institutions appeared only a year later, and in the amount of 5 pieces. The employees of the stations were obliged to provide immediate medical assistance to people who suddenly fell ill, injured in an accident, and delivered them to a hospital or hospital. The material content of the service was not state-owned - the stations existed and functioned thanks to funds allocated by private individuals on a charitable basis. Nevertheless, the employees of such institutions treated their work with great responsibility. In addition to everything else, there were educated and caring people who made a feasible contribution to the development of ambulance. In this regard, the names of I.I. Grekova, P.I. Dyakonova, K.K. Reier, N.A. Velyaminova, G.I. Turner, etc.

The ambulance service continued its distribution throughout Russia at the beginning of the last century. Then the stations appeared in seven other cities of the country. The basis of the medical staff working there and even in both capitals were orderlies. Only in 1912 did the St. Petersburg stations acquire doctors who agreed to provide medical assistance to the victims free of charge. And ambulances replaced horse-drawn ambulances in the 1920s. 20th century.

The Bolsheviks made a real revolution in the field of organizing and providing ambulance. It was after the high-profile events that took place in the memorable October 1917 that the medical service underwent grandiose positive changes. The Soviet authorities took the provision of the country's population with emergency medical care into their own hands, endowing this service with state status. Thanks to the new rulers, it has become more qualitative, planned, organized, qualified and generally accessible, since it has become the property not of a handful of citizens living in certain settlements, but of the population of the entire state. In addition, the Bolsheviks laid the foundation for the technical re-equipment of stations and the introduction of scientific achievements in the development of the medical service.

Nowadays

Holiday April 28 Day of ambulance workers is a large-scale event. On this day, it is worth touching on the problems of modern ambulance.

Today, unfortunately, the provision of public medical services and, in particular, emergency care is in serious decline. Less and less financial resources are allocated for medicine from the budget; on the routes serving small settlements and remote areas, there is a catastrophic shortage of both cars and maintenance personnel.

Increasingly, one can read in authoritative media and see on TV in news releases publications and stories informing us about the death of citizens who called for an ambulance due to the arrival of the brigade with a long delay, as well as about the impermissibly rude attitude on the part of the station employees.

"!

Ambulance Day in Russia is celebrated annually on April 28. How often does the fate of a person depend on the work of ambulance specialists, their professionalism, skills, knowledge and excellent reaction? For those who need emergency assistance, a car with a cross is always in a hurry. The same sign of mercy is not without reason present on many medical items.

The two very first Russian ambulance stations were created at police stations and began their work in 1898. Then, on April 28, one carriage with medicines, dressing materials and various medical instruments appeared at each polling station. The main rule of the ambulance was to provide timely and free assistance to those who need it right now. That is why today Ambulance Day is celebrated on April 28.

During the war period, the role of such stations increased significantly. They began to develop, the first specialized teams began to appear, and then institutes where they trained young ambulance specialists. Today, there is such a department in every hospital, and it is distinguished by a high level of service. Fortunately, modern cars are equipped with the latest equipment, which makes it possible to provide assistance to a person as quickly as possible in the most critical situation.

A paramedic is a person who has a secondary education in the field of medicine. He has the right to carry out diagnostics and establish a diagnosis, as well as to conduct independent treatment. If the paramedic is not able to carry out the therapy on his own, he is obliged to refer the patient to a doctor who specializes in the problem area. The duties and standards for performing the work of a paramedic in fact practically do not differ from the powers of general practitioners in the districts or doctors who save lives in an ambulance. In fact, these specialists provide first aid. Thus, we can safely say that the date of Paramedic Day should be known to both therapists and ambulance workers. Also this holiday noted by the labs.

Paramedics celebrate their professional holiday on February 21 every year. It is not officially approved. But medical workers of this class are sure that they deserve their allotted day. What date is Paramedic Day, remembered in all hospitals. It is impossible not to find words of respect and gratitude that should be said to these wonderful specialists. The lives of so many people directly depend on how the paramedic works in a village medical center or in an ambulance. On February 21, all cured patients are happy to thank their rescuers and wish them good health and skills that will help them to help people in the future.

As noted

What date is Paramedic Day in Russia, medical workers decided for themselves. But despite the fact that the holiday is conditional, the state does not forget about these specialists. They are always supported with awards for merit, they update the ambulance base for them, and also equip offices on the ground. On this day, paramedics are at their workplace, so they celebrate the holiday, saving the lives of patients. On this day, they do their job just as conscientiously and efficiently. The only indulgence that ambulance workers and local paramedics allow themselves is lunchtime tea with delicious sweets and pies.

What date laboratory assistants also remember strictly. This holiday applies to them as well. Therefore, they necessarily participate in festive tea parties. In addition to a pleasant celebration and a moment of rest, all paramedics prepare special reports for this day. They count their achievements and send reports to the central hospitals.

Thus, in addition to congratulations on their professional holiday, they also receive gratitude for the timely and high-quality paperwork and a large number of healthy patients.
